Impact of our actions
In 2008-2009, the first phase of Valoris involved developing entrepreneurial projects in disadvantaged areas and assessing their impact. People working in schools in disadvantaged areas have noted that the benefits were even more striking for young people living in more challenging circumstances.

All information and results come from a survey among students and project leaders at ten schools involved in Valoris in the Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches regions in 2009. Pamphlet: Les projets entrepreneuriaux à l'école : un facteur clé dans la prévention du décrochage scolaire (French only) |
The results of the survey are presented in two documents:
| Success factors of entrepreneurial projects in disadvantaged areas |
| Highlights of the benefits of entrepreneurial projects in disadvantaged areas |
Valoris broadened the scope of its actions in 2010 by targeting more schools in more regions. This made it possible to have a clearer picture of the impact of entrepreneurial projects among young people in schools in disadvantaged areas, in the Capitale-Nationale, Montréal, Estrie, Chaudière-Appalaches and Mauricie regions. Based on observations from the second year of the project, a full report was produced highlighting the impact of entrepreneurship on young people and teachers in schools in disadvantaged areas, as well as a pamphlet summarizing the striking effects of entrepreneurship.
The Montérégie region joined Valoris in 2011, and recently the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Côte-Nord and Lanaudière regions have also come on board.
Further information will be provided at a later date.
