How to apply

STEP 1
Develop an entrepreneurial project.

STEP 2
Fill out the Student Entrepreneurship division entry form online on the Contest Web site.

The entry form is now the application package to the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest. No paper format will be accepted.

Part 1 of the form can be completed before the full realization of the entrepreneurial project. This part of the form can be used by the Local Contest representative to verify the entrepreneurial value of the project since its inception. A code will be provided to the participant in order to return at any time in the form. Part 1 must be fully completed for the user code to be validated.

Part 2 of the application form must be completed no later than the registration deadline of 4:00 p.m., March 19, 2012.

The participant can join a few documents (photo, newspaper article, etc.) to its online registration.

Notes:

  • Any photograph of a student or group of students that is part of the application form may be published by the provincial organization on the Web site or used for promotional tools.
  • The registration forms will be used anonymously for research and statistical analysis.

Tips for filling out the registration form
The information contained in the application package must be as complete as possible, to allow the jury members to grasp the nature of the entrepreneurial projects and the activities it involves. It is essential for the students to be involved in the implementation of the project by actively participating in decision making and performing tasks, and this must be reflected in the registration form.

The entry form for projects in the elementary and secondary school categories may be prepared in whole or in part by a student, a group of students or the adult responsible for the project. The latter may provide participants with whatever help they need to present their project to best advantage.
Vocational training, Adult education, College and University students, because of the knowledge and skills they have already acquired, should present projects that are more advanced than those submitted at the elementary and secondary levels, and are more likely to have an impact. The Contest expects applications from these students to have a more complex design.

STEP 3
Local Contest representatives will ensure that the application form is complete; only after this verification is done will they be able to confirm that the project is registered in the Contest. The project will then be analyzed by the jury members using the evaluation criteria.

No registration fees will be charged by the local contest representative or organization for Student Entrepreneurship projects.
