How to apply

Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins

STEP 1

Fill out the online Business Creation Registration form, which is available on the Contest's web site. Please note that no entries in paper format will be accepted and that the information on the entry form may be used for research and statistical analysis.

Along with the online entry form, contestants must submit a business plan of 50 pages or less, including a table of contents (compulsory), financial statements and appendixes. Existing businesses are strongly urged to provide an income statement and, if possible, an up-to-date balance sheet. If necessary, also include a letter explaining the development of the project since the business plan was first developed. The Contest organizers do not advocate a specific business plan model. This is left to the applicants’ discretion, in accordance with the information given above.

A photograph of the promoter or team of promoters must be uploaded when registering. Please note that any photographs submitted with the entry form may be published, posted on the Contest Web site or reproduced as part of the promotional materials for the Contest.

STEP 2

When you have completed the online entry form, click on Confirm to officially submit the project to the Contest. The deadline is March 18, 2013, at 4:00 p.m.

STEP 3

Once the participant has sent its entry form, the local Contest representative will ensure that the registration form is complete, that the project meets the criteria and is eligible for the Contest. If it is so, the local representative will confirm the projects’ eligibility to the Contest. The project will then be analyzed by the jury members using the official evaluation criteria.

The promoters of projects that are finalists in the Business Creation division at the provincial level must be available to meet with the provincial juries in May 2013.

FILE MANAGEMENT FEES

Fees of up to $50 per project, taxes included, may be charged by the local Contest representative or organization. The fees collected must be used to manage the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest at the local or regional level.
